What
I’m the founder and creative director here at BrandNew Creative. My role at BrandNew is to ensure our team delivers great work that meets our clients strategic needs.
Where
Born in Dublin, studied in Dublin, and now live and work in Dublin. My favourite time of the year is any time I’m not in Dublin.
When
I studied Vis Comm in TU Dublin (DIT back then) and graduated in the year 2000 with an expert knowledge of Quark Xpress! I was lucky enough to be hired straight out of college and worked for a few agencies across the city before going freelance in 2004.
Over the course of the next decade, I got to work with some amazing brands like Ebony and Co, Louise Kennedy, and Brown Thomas. It was during my tenure at Ebony and Co that I first partnered with Amos, my ‘work husband’ who served as the Marketing Director—effectively, my client. We did some amazing work for each of the Ebony and Co global offices – New York, Amsterdam, Moscow, and London and won some awards along the way.
It was interesting to witness the gradual recognition of design and branding’s significance among Irish businesses. The demand for ‘graphic design’ transitioned into a broader appreciation for ‘branding,’ with clients expressing interest in strategic services. Recognising Amos’s aptitude, in 2014, I devised a plan to entice him from the allure of the Monaco Yacht show to my converted attic in Knocklyon, to see if we could make BrandNew into something Brand new!
Fast forward 10 years, we find ourselves situated in Dublin’s Liberties, providing strategic design and branding services with a core team of four, supported by an extensive network collaborating with prestigious brands across Ireland and beyond.
Why
Our internal mantra here at BrandNew Creative is to do “Great Work for Great People”. Over time, we’ve realised that it’s the individuals we collaborate with who truly ignite our inspiration, rather than any particular industry or project type. That’s why we’re drawn to working with business owners – their unwavering passion for their work and clientele fuels our own enthusiasm. While our process stays consistent, the diverse range of brands we work with keeps my job thrilling and dynamic.
